I googled capsid bug and the BBC link gives pesticides and organic methods. I've got them too and it looks like a clear up of debris in the raised bed and picking them off may help.

My strawberries that are affected are in fresh compost in pots in the poly tunnel. I have not seen any bugs on the plants to pick off but they are definately cat faced. I will have a google.

You'll find that it's poor pollination..........as was said on page 1

Mum is probably right. No visible bugs....poly-tunnel = poor pollination?

ive read somewhere that when strawberry plants become more then 3 yrs old this can effect the quality and size of the fruits,

all the old guys on our plot site in hull burn their plants every 3 yrs ,

dont know what to think now after reading the replies to strawberry problems in here
