They look lovely, nothing like eating warm strawberries straight from the plant, taste like jam, mine never made it home last year, can't wait for mine to start they've only just started flowering though

Mmmmm, they look yumtastic! Mine have only got very tiny little green strawbs on at the moment - I'm impressed enough with that! What kind are they? I'm growing "Darlisette" which are meant to be early summer and "Tenira" which are mid summer.  :tongue2:

Hi Everyone  :D

Thanks for the replies and compliments  :thumright:

first thing I must say is OH MY GOD they were best strawberries I have ever had :D

I will never buy another strawberry from the shops and now I cant wait to harvest all the of the fruit and veg I have got growing.

They were elsanta variety and I also have mignonette alpine strawberries grown from seeds pic below

and they should be ready to plant out soon.

Thanks and take care

Aaaah, they're sooooo sweet! We were on holiday in the Alps last week and little wild alpine strawberries were growing everywhere (see pic)! I was tempted to dig some up and take them home - but that would have been very naughty so I didn't.
