Bamboo canes.
« on: September 28, 2023, 19:09 »
Good evening everyone (so much for Agnes)!

I have been thinking!  Could the bamboo canes we use to support tomatoes be harbouring blight pathogens?   I have a gap of 18" between two raised beds and a large piece of rubberised sheeting.  I propose to construct a trough and soak the canes in some suitable strong disinfectant.

Waddya think ? ?  Cheers,  Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

I hadn't ever given it any thought as blight survives on living material I think, so doubt bamboo would be affected?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
