I have sown a cat  litter tray with leeks and I have put them outside in a plastic greenhouse.  I have limited room on Windows inside because of the chilli s I have started.  Will the leeks  germinate or should I bring them inside.

Most seed won't germinate below 10oC so I think they are best brought inside

They need to be at least 15 degrees C to germinate properly. Bring them inside to somewhere light..

have did the opposite started them off on window sill movedtothe greenhouse now and will leave them there to end of march

Bring in to germinate, then stick them out. By growing them on too long with heat indoors and then putting them outside, you run the risk of lots if them bolting.

i agree totty get them out as soon as they come up mine in greenhouse now about 3 inches but they get used to the cold

I keep looking at this and thinking "inside of course, how would you apply them externally? handcream?"
