covering tomatoes
« on: June 06, 2007, 18:18 »
Apart from keeping off cats is it wise or even neccessary to cover tomatoes?  I have just removed the net as it was set too low and can't be bothered to replace it with a bigger piece unless I really need to!!  I actually have a tomato growing on one plant, well impressed!

I've never bothered, even the pigeons leave them alone, but I suspect one or two get nibbled by squirrels, but not that many that make me inclined to net them.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
