As I am not sure if people will see the update I put on the original post, I decided to start a new thread just so people who have been following our progress would be able to see the sad news.     
   
It is with great sadness that I have to say the decision was made to leave Wonky asleep. His leg turns out to be deformed in multiple places. It was inoperable and would have been way too much for him. as much as  many might have challenged my decision to take him to the vet, I am pleased I persevered to get it x-rayed as I know there's nothing more I could have done, but naturally saddened that it was worse than we anticipated. At the end of the day I suppose i have to accept I did everything I could but it wasn't enough. I trust my vet implicitly and know we have made the right decision on this occasion.

Many thanks to all of you who have supported me throughout wonky's short life, please know how much it is appreciated.

Oh dear, I'm really so hear that poor Wonky didn't make it. Still, you made the right decision and did what was best, and at least for Wonky the pain is over

Thank you everyone... At least I did all I could... And he won't suffer now... He's sadly missed and will be for a long time to come :o(
