Went to our allotment yesterday and a few asparagus tips are just starting to show through. The bed is about 10 years old, we took over the plot about 3 years ago. We were picking it this time last year!!

Year 3 of the asparagus bed  so I am really looking forward to it  but so far not a peek.

we thought we had a bed in our recent acquirement of the plot so made sure we didn't disturb it when we dug it over.  Really chuffed to see there are a couple of tips showing through.  they look purple so no idea what variety they are.

Non yet here and our crowns were put in back in 2008 they were up last year but they will come on and catch up. Everything is slower this year.
