Growing inside/outside?

What does the packet say?
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Perhaps there isn't a packet DD?  I don't have a heated greenhouse, but I do have an old fish tank in there that I cover with a bit of double glazing and it gets lovely and warm, I'm just getting that ready for an early sowing later in the month.  Going to stick some foil on the back too DD!

Mine for the heated greenhouse will be started in the bedroom soon & then moved to the window in the spare room  (plus the foil).

Ones fot the plot will be started in March in similar manner, but will spend a while in the unheated greenhouse before seeing the plot.

I did loads of cherry tomatoes in pots on the patio last year and all worked really well. The only thing I needed to know was to sow indoors on a window sill 8 weeks before you think you can take them outside (end of the frosts in your part of the country). I think I sowed them in the last week of March and they all worked fine. Anymore than 8 weeks indoors and they will get a little big to manage. I have no greenhouse.

Hi, my Roma tomato seeds are already through! I sowed the seed on the bedroom sill six days back and they are already reaching for the sky! Trouble is....I think I'm a bit too early.
people talk rubbish

I hardly dare mention it.

Have you put some alumium foil behind the seedlings to reflect the light? This will help prevent them getting leggy.
