I don't know anyone local I'm afraid, but I would recommend http://www.keepers-nursery.co.uk The trouble is they've stopped taking orders for this year as they grow to order. If you're willing to wait, they do good quality trees at what I think are reasonable prices.

I got my trees from Blackmoor nurseries.  They are mail order and come bare root so you need to get in quick before you are too late for this years season.

They are offering the trees at a discount now as it is the end of the season.

There is also a lot of info on the site about the different rootstocks available so you can select the correct one, which if you only want to go to 2 m will probably be either M27 or M9.  There is also a huge variety of apples with info about each one.

If you are growing more than one, then as long as you are planting them reasonable close I don't think they need to be self pollinating, but they will need to be in the same, or adjacent pollinating groups.

All 7 trees I have got from them have been very good.

I would avoid the supermarket trees unless they clearly state the relevant rootstock.

RV Rogers at Pickering is another excellent fruit nursery in this general part of the world.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Blackmoor Fruit Nurseries for me too.  Excellent service and never too busy to answer questions, no matter how silly!   ::)   Cheers,     Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !
