Nothing seems to bother mine a great crop kept going all year. Plnt in spring and autumn for all year round. Just a few snale holes but nothing to stop you using it

I find that both perpetual spinach and Swiss chard are attacked by leaf miner here, mainly during the summer months.

Squishing them inside the leaves before they drop off to turn into flies in the soil is at least a small act of revenge, but not very effective when there are dozens, if not hundreds, of the blighters!  :nowink:
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

Nothing bothered mine last year which surprised me, not even the slugs or pigeons which get most other things. Brilliant plant - going to grow lots more this year.

If you haven't already bought seeds, do you want some? I don't really like it and I bought it by mistake in Italy.

I grow it for border edging colour.  Module then out when it can take a few slug holes.

Yep. I like the flower shoots, but to me the leaves mostly just taste of 'green'.
