leafmould
« on: March 04, 2012, 20:54 »
Hi there

Just wondered if okay to save hydrangea flowers, they are like lovely little brown leaves.  never done before just because I knew nothing about leafmould.  I was supposed to prune today but just too cold, and full of cold anyway.  But it urgently needs pruning so to save or not to save?

Cheers!
Amanda

they'll compost down fine - less tough than real leaves but could go in that heap too.

I only put leaves in my leafmould bin. Everything else goes in the compost bin  :)

...  I dont think of them as flowers, ...

technically, I don't think they are flowers...they're bracts if I recall correctly?
