Hi guys

Im new too all this and a couple of weeks ago i planted my carrot seeds in a tray (ops) i read the instructions this week lol and realized that I cant transplant them ops. 

i bought some new seeds today and wondered whats the best way to plant them. are they best planted in a container, ie a storange box with holes drilled for drainage?

 Surely a good place to start is to read the back of the packet    Follow that and you won't go far wrong

I transplanted some carrots earlier this year. Don't throw yours out. Mine are ready now, and the only problem is that they are spiral carrots lol!

They don't like ground that is too rich and stony or they tend to fork.  Mine early ones are in containers lined with plastic with holes in the bottom.  The mix I used is 50% sharp sand to 50% compost and they are looking really good.  I also have them in a specially prepared bed with the same soil mix.

how deep of a container do you use?

sorry for not reading instructions first I was getting carried away with excitment with it being my first try lol

They're about 10 inches deep.
