Title: New fork recommendations
Post by: Plot94 on May 05, 2020, 13:48
Hi all
One of the tines recently broke off for the second time and I dont think it will re-weld properly this time so I am looking for a new one. What I am ideally after is something similar in construction, solid shaft with 4 long sharp pointed tines. Does anyone have any good suggestions? Looking around I have seen a Bulldog Evergreen that looks ok although it is not a solid shaft.

I have had a stainless steel Wilkinson fork for over ten years.  Wooden shaft and plastic D handle.

I think Bulldog are pretty well thought-of?

Hello you need to do the obligatory tool test before choosing a new fork weight is first can you lift it or does it need fixing g to a digger secondly is the handle the right height with the tines on the floor cam you rest your arms comfortably on the top of the handles with out bending your back add soil depth because fork will sink into ground when lent on  thirdly stainless steel or ordinary steel   jezza
