I thought the floating air sac would be a problem.

I'll double check the humidity. I have a little covattuto manual. It is basic but usually keeps its temp/humidity well. I have a separate humidity/temp monitor.

All seems well so far. I will remove the egg with the floating air sac.

how many times are you turning the eggs

Came down this morning and found eggs cold. Bulb in incubator had worked loose and was only working intermittently. Have fixed it but not sure yet if any eggs survived :-(

Too late in the year now to tey another batch.

Next year I may just buy ducklings.

Does anyone know of a good supplier in the Birmingham area.
Ducks or Chicks.

I've had one knocked out the nest by a broody and that felt quite chilly, it was 3 days before hatch though so could have kept it self warm moving also had one make it after the hen made a crack in the shell at day 5    I was gob smacked when it hatched :D

How many days gone are they Cleo??

You should be able to tell by candleing??

Well...out of the five...when I looked last night one had def. developed a dark circle on the yolk which I imagine means a death...
The others are very difficult to tell at the moment. I am going to leave them a few days and see if there are any signs of growth or otherwise.

You defo want to increase humidity in the last 4 days so day 24.
The other thing I do is spray the eggs once a day with warm ish water, I did this every day in the last 7.
Oh ye an just one or two squirts out of a plant mister type thing don't go mad they can't swim yet

you must remember that eggs sent in the post need to resettle .dont try incubating them before you have let them settle in the cartons they came in ( opened ) for at least 12 hours ina cool place with a stable temperature . do not turn these eggs at all before you put them in the incubator
still alive /............
