Flower ID..

Can someone ID this for my mother... It was in a bunch she had from my sister for mothers day..

Is has a very thick single stem which looks really out of place with 3 flowers as shown. She wasn't too impressed when she asked me what it was and I replied "its a flower".

It looks like an amaryllis to me
