Can anyone with summer raspberries answer this question please when you get new growth this year on your summer raspberries,will the new growth fruit or will it only fruit next year? thanks

It will fruit next year. When the time is right you need to cut down this year's fruiting canes to the ground and tie in the new canes for next year's crop if they are big enough.

Thanks for that, i have a mixture of summer and winter and trying to sort them out,so if new canes dont fruit they are summer  im going to tag them so i can have them right next year,Thanks for reply.
