Title: Planted an apple tree today !

 :). It’s an Ellison’s orange. Anyone else got one?
Also, should I mulch around the trunk to reduce weed growth? Any other tips for a newbie? Thanks.

Mulching to stop weed growth is a good idea, but avoid direct contact with the bottom of the stem, to avoid rot or above surface root formation.
