cockerel with bruised tail (and possibly dented pride)
« on: December 01, 2012, 13:50 »
Think Alphie, one of my Serama boys may have bruised his tail  ::)

He was out for a run earlier with his girls and true to form, was fighting through the wire of the big run with Foghorn, the other Serama boy.  He was jumping at the wire and heard him squeak, then he ran across the lawn with his tail down and then even laid on his side for a while.

I got hold of him and can't see any injury except his little tail bump has very red skin.  He's not too keen on being held and was trembling (my big brave boy  ::)), so let him go.  He's got his tail back up now, but can only think he misjudged his jump and landed badly on his bum

I'll pass on your good wishes about his sore botty Sunny but you're right Joy - he will be back fighting as soon as he gets the chance

Foghorn was strutting round looking very self important ANHBUC, but I think he was also having a good laugh on the quiet.  He makes no secret of the fact he thinks Alphie is a little pipsqueak

Alphie was cuddled up in a nest box between his 2 girls tonight, so he has a lovely bantie orp duvet to make him feel all better  :)  Could hardly see him he was so nestled into their soft downy feathers.  Just a comb and a tail sticking out  :D

My little Serama girl Yoda always sleeps right underneath the breast of her best friend bantie orp Beyonce.  I can never find her at bedtime as she's totally hidden

She emerges with 'bed-comb' every morning  :D

I'm not sure I'd get her to stand still long enough Nerdle    She is usually racing round checking out every available food source so she can nab the best  ::)

I have got this one of Yoda and Beyonce when they went broody together

Alphie came charging out this morning and is crowing away in full Serama pose - stood to attention, wings down and tail right up, so whatever he did yesterday, it can't have been serious.  Just being a wuss like ANHBUC suspected

Glad you liked it  :)

The odd couple are best buddies as they were raised together before joining the big gang, but they do make me laugh.  Yoda the serama is very much in charge despite Beyonce being such a big girl
