Title: Beware these scam phone calls have started again..

I haven't had any cold calls on my mobile but we used to get loads on our land line, until we got a BT Call Guardian phone (You don't have to use BT, we're on a Virgin line).  Now we get none on that either.

Nowadays I get more on my mobile than the landline  :(  but if neither I or the phone recognises the number, I just don't answer.
This one caught me out as I was expecting a Trashco call to tell me the time for my delivery and just picked it up without looking ::)

We don't get as many as we used to, thank goodness, but like you MoS, if I don't recognise the number I don't bother to answer

Our phone doesn't have a caller display but we do have BT's Call Minder which stopped a lot of them. Those that do get through usually have a foreign voice so I politely say no thanks and put the phone down.

I did get BT's call protect then realised that U3A members wanting to join our walking group couldn't get through to me !! Cancelled it and getting a few dodgy ones again but son is US still can't through on scype
That recognising numbers on call display no good to me as you have to remember numbers to recognise them !!. Life gets very complicated sometimes doesn't it ?
