Not sure what to do with it now!
« on: January 20, 2011, 08:25 »
I have 2 compost bins full of chicken manure and wood shaveings and was planning on digging the oldest which is about 12 months old now into the vegetable patch.  However did post on the 'grow your own' section if this would be ok  andwas told that the wood shavings use up the nitrogen in the ground that the plants need although someone did suggest it may be ok if the wood shavings didn't look like wood shavings anymore.  Has anyone used this combination up on the garden with no adverse results?

Otherwise, does anyone want two loads of chicken manure and woodshavings  for anything? !!!!!!!
Dogs were born with three legs and a spare.

ali2.

As you say, you have already posted this in GYO.

GYO is the place for it and if you're patient you may get more replies.

Please do not post the same topic in more that one forum.

I will lock this one.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
