Help/ Advise/ Information
« on: April 17, 2019, 12:21 »
As many will know me I am very much if I cant eat it I wont grow it!

However the time has come for me to change politically and help our little buzzy friends more. I am now building several planters from the end bits of pallets (3 deep).
What I need to know is suggestions for these planters for the pollinators/ honeymakers that can be sown/ transplanted at this time of year.
Punk isn't dead...it's underground where it belongs. If it comes to the surface it's no longer punk...it's Green Day!

To sow now - cosmos, calendula, nasturtiums, borage, open faced dahlias like Bishop's Children, verbena bonariensis

To move - chives are great bee plants, as are thyme and rosemary  :)

I just ordered Allium tuberosum.  Bees go mad for it!

I planted a Lavender Hidcote in a stone pot which I can see outside from my little office, and last year it was absolutely covered in bees not bumble ones) and some sort of little whispy moth.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
