In the paper over the weekend apparently a motion has been passed 9ooer)that come 2012 the keeping of caged hens and their eggs being sold is to be made illegal. Why is it going to take so long .Suppliers are moaning that they need longer to organise themselves. Hurrah no more selling smart price eggs at 125 per 15 at ASDA. Those poor hens .At ;east its a start

About time too, but will that be an British law or a EU law ? a lot of cheapo eggs come from Spain etc where they rekon Salmonella in birds is higher. Unfortunately their is a demand for cheap food which = poor conditions/intensive farming but while Jo public turn a blind eye .............
