Hi just looking for some advice. Hatched 7 chicks yesterday and it looks like 2 have spraddle legs. One seems to have one weaker leg the others legs seem to stick straight out front. Does this second one sound like spraddle leg. We found the bandaid tape on the Internet and have tried this. The first chicks legs seem to be sitting under it better. The seconds still seem to be pointing straight forward. Just wondered if anyone has any other tips. The second one is very weak. Thanks in advance

Have a feel up the leg to see if the hip is in the right place.  It sounds as it you might have a weird dislocation rather than loose ligaments

Yes we also though dislocation too, as they were straight out, we taped both chicks, and the one with the legs straight out had a really rough night on Sunday, couldnt deal with its legs been taped and kept floping around, was cheeping alot a very destressed, I was fully expecting to have to put it out of its misery, but yesterday by the afternoon it had made a big recovery, is sitting with its legs under it for the first time like a proper chicken and standing alot and starting to move around abit, very alert and eating and drinking, so we are much more hopefull, the other chick which just had one bad leg is also doing well, standing for long periods and hopping around too. So I am much more hopefull, Just wondering how long is normal to keep the legs taped?
