Title: help with fence panel shed/potting shed
Post by: peppa on May 04, 2008, 22:40
Hi  I have recently a took on an allotment and although used to growing my own, I have made a shed out of fence panels and put a window in the door (easier than cutting into a fence panel!) and was wondering if I put on a clear plastic roof do you think I could use this as a sort of potting shed as well as storage, do you think if would be enough light or would it just be a very hot shed!! any advise welcomed

I would have thought everything would end up pale and leggy as it fights to go straight up to the only light source.

And it would be VERY hot in there since the panels will warm up and radiate the heat inwards, trapping it.

You could maybe cut a panel in half and make the top half plastic like a solar shed/potting shed type construction.

Well done for re-using the panels though. Excellent work.
