Polytunnel
« on: January 26, 2010, 21:04 »
I've been looking at various brands of polytunnel and there seem to be huge differences between them especially in terms of price.

So if money were no object what brand would you buy and why?

Thought this would have been in equipment
don't know the brands but a good quality sheet and steep sides are essential especially on the smaller ones. Crop bars and watering are nice but canes and a hose will do.
always have a target
and an objective.

And ...

... whoosh!
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Have a look at this site.
I've been sorely tempted to get rid of my greenhouse and build one of these.

Sorry don't think I have ever been to the equipment shed. Maybe I should get out more!

Unfortunately if I went that route I would never have a tunnel. Preferably I would like one to beam down and land in my garden all ready to use. Well a girl can hope  :D

Some of the ones out there look sooo good but sooo expensive

Stompy, go for it! We looked at that website before we built ours.

Purplebean, have you no-one to help you with a build?

Like you purplebean I would never get round to building a tunnel unless it came almost ready to go. Infact I have had one in a shed for some 20 years now just needing a sheet and putting up ::)
