Has anyone out there got an old polytunnel frame they want to sell? Im looking for a large size min 12x20 straight sides preferred would take much larger size if reasonable.

you could use the 1/2 inch plastic piping that is used by water companies . check your builders yards .. use concrete to secure it  and erect it iusing rope to keep is spaced right

i reckon you could make a pollytunnel that size for well under £100
feed the soil not the plants

Good idea Muntjac that stuff's only about £20 for 50m.
Might try that myself any ideas for a source of cheap plastic for poly tunnels ?

i think 25mm water pipe would be a bit flimsy and would be hard work.i was thinking of 32mm or even 40mm waste pipe they come in 3m lengths at £3ish each fit 2 together with a coupling 50p each this would form the arch shape. you would need a few more lenghs to go the full length at the peak and on each side at waste high,when these long straight lengths over lap the arch you could fasten the 2 together with a large jubilee clip.
a timber end each end,£40-£50 quid would get that i'm sure with scrap timber.
all you need now is the poly

if you see any builders renovating shops or warehouses check there skips oh got blue water pipe for free off them they were pleased to get rid of it also if you have any mates in the building trade they get rolls of plastic thats where ours came from our lottie shop also orders plastic in for lottie holders

handy these building folk,another one to look out for is harris fencing or block n mesh you know the stuff that we fence jobs of with,half a dozen of these and you have a brilliant brassica cage,butterfly nets are optional.
