Hi there, I have just planted out my brocoli and sprouts!! Which I have covered with netting. How tall do brocoli plants grow am I gonna need to make taller net tunnels?

Mine grow about ten feet tall

Seriously though, about 2' to 3' (1 metre) at most for brussels Depends how well they do and variety etc but that's the normal range..

Thanks John, I know it was a silly question, but I like to keep you busy!! Heres another one. What sort of yield do you get from one broc. plant? Nobody ever says how many plants to grow/ per dinner.

ps Iv'e only a small patch in my back garden at the mo, just thought I'd see how this year went. I have 5 brocs in the ground and 3 on stand by!!

Well we like to freeze the surplus so difficult to say - growing veg is so often about feast or famine. Sometimes you plant a dozen and none come up or all.

Anyway, I'd suggest half a dozen would be fine for a couple.
