just look at my beet root chioggia sowd 29/3/2012 this is how there look is there sum thing wrong thay look small

I'd leave them longer, as 8 - 10 weeks is normal from sowing to harvest and it has been cool and wet which might have hindered their germination speed meaning they would probably take longer to grow to a decent size.

I'm growing chioggia for the first time this year and I hope they grow bigger than that!

Mine are just about the same that is the ones that germinated very poor so far but will sow some more this weekend if I can get to the plot.

The cold weather is likely to have been the cause of them being slow to develop. Give them longer in the ground.

wood it be ok to feed them with super phosphate plant food as there are growing in mushroom compost or not
