Nice, I love neaps, I have been eating them for a few weeks now and lifted the rest last night, gonna sort and freeze them tonight. My other row is coming along fine and will give us a little rest before we start munching on them again. Here is mine..

I like them in moderation so I only sowed about 5 foot row
what variety are those all whight ones, mine are purple top milan which are nice

also what is the earliest I can plant again as I understand they dont like the summer, need a few more for autumn and winter

I treat them like radish, sow half row then when propper leaves appear sow another half and so on, I sow into october then leave it until March, for winter we mainly switch to Swede. These are Golden Ball, they have a nice nutty flavour when roasted.

I have just pulled up my first turnips, up until now I had been eating the leaves in stir-frys.

Last night for dinner, I added the turnip to a stir-fry, thinly sliced with a julienne cutter. It was young and sweet, delicious!
We lived for days on nothing but food and water.
