Interestingly, he also has a favourite - one of my legbar/silkie crosses. I think the other girls are still a bit big for him to tackle!  :lol:

they usually do have a favourite girlie, so keep an eye on her so that she doesn't get too worn out and thread bare - if this happens she may need to wear a poultry saddle either that or remove him for a while to give her a break if this is possible  :)

I don't suppose you could post a pic of your legbar/ silkie crosses? I bought some eggs off fleabay that are the same mix but I'm not convinced that's what the resulting chicks really are, they look more like black copper marans. Pingu, the only cockerel from the batch is at the same stage as your Dave by the sounds of it, he's 15 weeks and is being brave by trying it on with the older girls much to their disgust :lol:
