As the title says; I've got mosquito larvae in my water butt and some other stuff besides...  :blink:

Today I went out and bought 2 goldfish to live in the butt and to eat the larvae.  I'll get round to building a pond soon and when they have devoured the little darlings they can have a pond all to themselves!

If you don't want to get goldfish you can add some citronella oil (or any oil) to the water.  This breaks the surface tension so they can't breed.  It does need changing every so often but a small price to pay to kill mozzies.

We just have lids on our water butts and never have a problem.
