Pickled red cabbage

Hubby wants some which is fine but does anyone know of something I can do to make it a bit more exciting like adding a few jalapenos (sp)

Thats a seperate post but it was funny, I didnt know hubby could hop so high

theres a lovely sounding recipe in the latest good food mag. in the extra leaflet inside. Braised red cabbage with bramley apple.

about 600g red cabbage
1 large bramely apple
150g butter
150g light brown sugar
150ml cider vinegar or clear malt vinegar
2 cinnamon sticks
1/4tsp ground cloves

I know you asked for pickled red cabbage but Im sure you could do something similar.

I had to read this 3 timesHad the fright of my life and thought i was on a wrong forum.

cant help here as we just have ours plain and simple.I dont like it hot or spicy!!
