Title: pollination question

hi, after last year i only want things in the tunnel that i dont have to pollenate myself,

 i just wanted to check if i have got the right ldea with these

Aubergine    outside??    (not sure about this)
Tomato        tunnel    
Pumpkin      outside
Courgette    outside
pepper        tunnel
marrow       outside

i didnt have any courgettes last year at all from the plants in the tunnel so wanted to make sure they will take care of them selfs this year so to speak

also if anyone can think of things i could grow in there with no probs id love to hear about them

they will you dont have to keep the doors closed all the time mtey .bees etc can come in :wink:

hey munty how are you?

where the tunnel is its a bit sheltered, it gets the sun but its tight to get in, ive watched it for hours with the door open but never got any in there so thats why i didnt want to take the risk this year

As Munty says there'll be comings and goings of all sorts, whether you notice or not, also can plant some smelly flowers and herbs in there or nearby.

Most peppers do self pollinate, but not much so for tomatoes, don't know aubergine, but all are very easy flowers to pollinate, all they need is a tap on the plant, which happens just  rubbing against them unwantedly. I'd think your lack of crop last year on these plants is due to something else.

Also, cucumber does need no pollinating, get an all female, so you don't need to mess with removing the male flowers.
