Got everything prepped and had started to cook spag bol, turned out the fridge to find the other half of the passatta I made earlier this week for another meal and it had 'disappeared'!  Somebody ( had put it in the freezer thinking they were 'helping'.

I had to buy a couple of corn cobs the other day, so they won't beat my personal record of 1minute 40 secs from garden to saucepan, but there it is!

Just a few years ago, every road into the village had a private stall selling cobs! They've all vanished, while we still see them growing in the fields!

Yesterday was stir fry, to night Steak and ale pie with new pots and veg. Apple and Raspberry crumble and ice cream.

Salmon Jaloussi  otherwise known as a salmon pie with rice, mushrooms, spring onions in a puff pastry case.  We had to halve the recipe as it was for six but we have managed to stretch it to make two, so one for tonight with asparagus (reduced in the Co-op today) and one for the freezer.
