Hello, recent new owner of a half plot
« on: January 04, 2019, 13:19 »
Hi

We have recently acquired a half plot in December and looking forward to the challenge ahead of growing
On closer inspection, its a completely blank canvas apart from current weeds.
No fruit bushes or existing vegetables left from previous owner.
Soil looks good though
We've started to clear half of the plot, sorted out compost bins and planted raspberries, red currant, black currants, rhubarb and garlic
Waiting for gooseberry bushes to arrive

That's a very good start, Andy.
What crops do you want to grow?

Hello Andy and welcome to the forum. Looks like you have made an excellent beginning to your new plot. It si juts the right time to be planting fruit bushes too..... hope you don't mind me mentioning how much pigeons like gooseberries. We have to grow ours under a net

That's a very good start, Andy.
What crops do you want to grow?

Fruit bushes have gone in
Garlic, sweetcorn, broccoli, mange tout, and might try some unusual vegetables.
thanks
