i grew some last year in 4 inch pots but didn't get a big harvest.. the plants weren't that big so i cant understand why the books say 40cm between crops and 90 between rows i think ill leave 30 each way will that be okay?? i dont have an allotment so space is limited

I think the size of your pots has a lot to do with it. Strawberries have a bigger root system than 4".
