Oh wow good old fozz has laid her first egg I am so proud of her :lol:
Its a wopper, now whats the best recipe for these then??

Bantum, chicken, duck and goose wow what a selection we have to choose from now clever girls :) and to think I thought duck eggs took the biscuit :!:

Just looked it up and they are lovely apparently, make fab scramble and omeletes.  More like chicken eggs to taste than duck eggs but I wonder how hard it will be to crack :) I look forward to trying it.

I read that you need to keep them for 3 weeks before you can boil them :!: anyone know why that is please :?:

Well had the first five goose egs starting last Friday. Poached the first........... Took some eating ! Proportionately more yolk than a hens egg, seems almost half white half yolk.
Boiling takes between 8 and 12 mins depending how you like it..............
I prefer  a single goose egg omelette..... Scrumptious.
Plenty of grazing gets a lovely deep rich yolk...........
However, after today will be leaving the eggs until Judy has laid a clutch then might sit............... We will see. I am still very new to this !
