Post by: Thompson24 on May 17, 2009, 19:44
Hi guys

What breed of chicken egg is the best to produce good laying eggs, ie what are the types of breed they use in commercial egg farming? (is it normally just a normal brown hen?)

If you dont mind white eggs then get some white leghorns i got 2 last july and they have averaged 50 eggs per month last month being the best 57 out of a possible 60.
Try asking your local feed supplier thats where i got the contact number from for mine.
