This year and last year I sowed a whole packet in two seed trays around early March time. Once they come up and are a few inches tall I put them out in a close double row and cover with a fleece tunnel to protect them while they get going. Then I remove the fleece tunnel and tie them up once they are big enough.

Last year I had a fab harvest, hoping it will work just as well this year!!! It's a bit of a faff putting them out on the plot but as I only do roughly a ten foot row it's not too bad. We don't grow enough for the entire year or anything like DD  ;) but enough to have a fair few meals early summer time. Nothing like fresh peas!!

My dad does similar but puts them in guttering at home and then slides that into a trench.
