Here are the photos of the felt baubles I’ve made in preparation for my March sewing group that I’m demonstrating. The green ones are as the instructions & the others are with my additions. They’re reall6 easy to make.

Hope they come out alright, they’re all the right way up to me on the thumbnail that comes up as I add them!

No trouble at all, I’ll be writing them to present to my sewing group in March any way, I took it from a book but as is usual you can find an easier way of doing it lol

I don't know whether you'd class it as crafty, but I'm refurbishing an old (1950s) Ercol wooden framed armchair. My winter project for when I can't garden  :D
I've taken all the old covers, webbing and horsehair wadding off of it. Stripped the frame back to bare wood, it was black varnish, spent hours sanding, so that now it is a light oak colour. I'd hoped to get the wood back to light beech, like modern Ercol, but it was made with darker wood, so that wasn't possible. I've been building it back up, I've redone the webbing, wadding and wrapping to modern fire-safe standards. Now just the new cushions to be covered.
I'll post a pic when it is finished ;)

Thought I'd better add this before I forgot again lol.

No classes, taught myself from re-upholstery books from the library, being a practical person helps - but I've always thought you can learn any and everything from a good manual....

although unfortunately that doesn't seem to work with PCs and new mobile phones  where I end up asking my grandchildren how to do things  ::)

That looks great, well done.  I used to have all Ercol back in the day, how I wish I had kept it !
I am not very good at doing craft from books, I need a teacher there with me.   Mrs Bouquet

Hello, new person here. I adore most crafts and especially like embroidery just now and am getting into lino printing. I bought a sewing machine last year but am a bit afraid of it still!

I have an instagram if anyone is interested - www.instagram.com/greentreecrafts

I do local markets when i have the time, though this year i am a new allotment owner so i am spreading my time thinly!

Welcome Amy.

Looking forward to seeing your craft work, but we do prefer our community to post their pictures on our forums rather than give links to other sites.

My sewing machine is nearly 50 years old but I love it still.  What type have you bought ?

I saw some lovely decoupage the other day.  The lady had done it on bottles, jars, little boxes, shells etc.
I have looked on google because I fancy to try.   The lady told me she painted her things with silk emulsion, but google said chalkboard paint.    Do you know if silk emulsion is OK.  thanks   Mrs Bouquet
