I have star jasmine on my front fence but it is looking distinctly dead.  Does anyone know when it should sprout if it is going to?  I think maybe the harsh winter has done it in although 2 of them were green last year and the third one looked much like all 3 of them do now and it still ended up sprouting and recovering but I can't remember when.  My husband wants to pull them out but I'm still hoping they may recover.

It's still a bit early to tell tbh.
My ordinary jasmin is only just thinking about it and that's in a very sheltered place, so anything that's not as sheltered will be a bit later.

They are such lovely plants that I think it's worth waiting to see if they have survived

If it is Trachelospermum jasminoides which is commonly known as Star Jasmine, then it should be evergreen.  When the cold hits the leaves, they go a bronze/red for the winter, but they should stay on.

If you gently scrape away at the bark with your thumbnail, you should see green appearing and they should resprout.  If the bark is brown right through, then they are dead
