When is the best time to sow hollihock seeds and where to keep them over winter

No idea, Sir , as I only sowed them once in spring, worked liked weeds forever on.

My neighbour kept seeds from his and gave them to me.  Absolutely nothing happened.  Shame, as his are huge.

sow em in spring keep in a closed brown paper bag or in the packet till ya wana sow em .50% sand n peat/ compost mix

i have done and some are up

I drop a few seeds into the ground where I want them, cover them a bit, water and mark the spot. They'll come up all by themselves,  they're so darned hardy. Any time of year works.
