These sempervivums are in a cracked pot - and have weeds!
I have another pot, but can I also split them up, and if so is it difficult or the wrong time to do it.

It's easy, you can split off and pot-up the offsets, and now is a good time to do it. The weeds look like liverworts, so you can take them off with the top layer of compost, and put some fresh grit or compost around them.

Definitely sound advice, I have many of them as they fascinate me.    Lots of different colours, and sizes and varieties,   I started off with a basic house leek ones, so beware, they creep up on you, but they are so easy.
 Just remember the 50/50 grit and soil and put the grit on as a top layer to keep them off the soil and don't let them get waterlogged.   You can also start them off with just a leaf peeled off its mother and popped a little way into the gritty soil. Good luck.    Mrs Bouquet
