Another curry night tonight.  The one in the week went down a storm with OH, so he asked for same again please.  As the mince and dhal are straight out of the freezer, that suits me.

I'm going to wilt some plot spinach and stir it through some spiced yogurt, plus I have shop bought naan in the cupboard.  Should take all of 10 minutes to prepare  :D

Got to go gentle on a new crown for OH - so no pork crackling here today, or for some days to come.   :(

So tonight is stir fried veg, cabbage braised in soy sauce, chicken cooked in oyster sauce and rice.  Lots of flavour, not too much bite.

Ouch - poor Mr MC  :(

We are having pork chops, new potatoes, peas, mangetout peas and spinach.  That will be the first new season veg selection I can completely supply so smug mode engaged  :D

I may even go wild and rustle up a strawberry pud just to really show off

Still on the be nice to the sore mouth, so it was a leek and mustard pasta bake yesterday.

He seems to be better today (demolished fresh bread at lunchtime with no being careful with the crust) but there is a casserole of turkey in the slow cooker, to go with couscous or dumplings, not to push his luck.

Oh you've reminded me! *shudder* I'm booked in for a root canal jobbie next Wednesday, ready for a crown - soo not looking forward to that  ::)

Anyhow, tea tonight is a leftover lamb made into a chilli, don't fancy rice so over boiled new potatoes, or I could go mad and cook wedges

Not kidding. :(  And ice cream, you need ice cream  ... one good thing about root canals is they get rid of the super sensitivity that makes eating ice cream a problem.   :nowink:

Yesterday I worked as a poll clerk so sandwiches for me and I left him a ham salad, which he had with bread I think.

today .....  I need something quick when we get in late.  I am trying to resist the thought of the chippy we are going to have to drive past ....

Roast Chicken
Picked sage for a sage and onion stuffing.
Rooster potatoes from the potato shed, roasted along with some of our frozen parsnips.
Our purple milan turnips.
Picked our first ever Mangetout, what a great crop they produce, first picking and we had 1/2lb, 45 pods from four of the plants. loads more can see to pick soon. Will be growing them again and will next week put in another sowing.

Bought swede, carrots and a cauli.

Also picked our first handful of strawberries that we will mix with some locally bought ones.
