Here they all are at 11 days old now with wing feathers and out foraging with Mum.  She's still got all 9 and is being the perfect Mum.  She's dug a little scratting area besides a nettle plant which the chicks seem immune to an they love hiding in there while Mum digs up something tasty.

Lovely chicks and what a pretty hen.

I think they do so well when you can let little chicks out to free range, they get street wise

So cute.

The nettles look like the none stinging variety so mum knows what she is doing.   :D

Well the chicks are now 24 days old and Anastasia is taking them further a field and teaching them how to scavenge.  They've joined the garden free rangers.

The weather has turned cold now and Anastasia being only a bantam herself is finding it difficult as they have grown to brood them all when they need a warm up.  I thought one was looking a little less active than the others yesterday and sure enough this morning I found it sadly dead outside the run.  Still Anastasia has done well to keep them all so well up to now.  Let's hope the remaining 8 survive this cold spell.

Here's some photos of her, the chicks and dad, Nicholas II altogether this morning in the garden.
