my sweetcorn were planted a week ago and are looking a bit yellow. should i be feeding them something extra?

They're likely to struggle for a while after being planted out as there is likely to be a bit of root disturbance and getting used to the new location.

However, yellow leaves may indicate a lack of nitrogen; you could add some chicken pellets or sulphate of ammonia.

Mine sulked for nearly a month they are still very small  ::)

Throw a bit of chicken pellets every 6 weeks or so as they love the nitrogen.. However they will sulk a bit after planting out - then they take off and grow like mad!!

thanks for the advice everyone. when i planted them, i put a few chicken poo pellets in with plant. will scatter more in few weeks. need to stop looking at neighbours sweetcorn which are pretty big! They have grown a bit so fingers crossed  ;)
