Getting ahead of the game

Well I have just spent 2.5 hours out there, gutting back ornamental grass, Raking the lawn, pull out grassy weeds from around the lawn edge, taking out weeds from ornamental shrubs in pots, and generally making a start.  I do live in Sussex, so its fairly mild here, so I thought no time like the present.  I am sitting here now with a cuppa, and looking down on my efforts, and feel pretty pleased with myself,-  what have you been doing in your garden so far ?  regards Mrs Bouquet

On Saturday I tidied up all day, cut back bamboo and dead growth on perennials, plus weeded.  There is still a bit more to do, bit I'd say 2/3 of the garden at home was done.

As a bonus, I got several bags of waste I dropped off at the plot and tipped in compost bins.  I've been to the tip on the way to work today and got rid of the bamboo prunings.

I spent Saturday evening in a slightly achy, but satisfied doze on the sofa.  A great day all round
