I've got a load of leek seedlings that I have been sowing progressively over a few months. They are (in the main) all looking good and ready to go out when I can find space (another story altogether). The last batch are being nibbled so that they are getting shorter and shorter. I've dug into the compost they are in and had a good look round where they are in the garden (on a plastic garden table) and can't see anything. What might be doing this?
Interestingly, the larger seedlings haven't been nibbled.

It's the blooming sparrers that are pecking at mine

We have at least four magpies and numerous wood pigeons. Could that the answer?

I thought mine were disappearing every day I look, ummmm birds I think maybe the culprits
