asparagus seedlings
« on: October 07, 2008, 11:17 »
i have about 30 asparagus plants/seedlings that i grew from seed earlier this year. i plan to put them into their bed in the spring but what should i do with them over the winter? they are currenty in 3 inch pots in my garden and have been for a few months.

should i leave them out or put them in my unheated greenhouse? do i need to cut the ferns off?

sorry for all the questions but have never grown it before and want to get it right

Cut the ferns off when they go brown.

They'll be fine outside, but won't come to any harm inside.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
