Dahlia all look different
« on: March 25, 2012, 20:14 »
Hi, I have sown lots of Dahlia, but they all look different, the only thing they have in common is that they are green!! Some are little some big, some have two leaves some have lots of leaves. They all look ok, I just keep them in at night and pop them in the sun during the day.
I have no idea how to care for these. I just sowed them because they looked pretty, any advice pleeese appreciated

You really can't do much wrong with dahlias. If they start to get tall, they might need some staking, just be careful of the tubers they form.

what are you like?  :nowink: The times I've done that  :D

Did you sow a packet of mixed seed? I did that a couple of years ago and a very mixed mix it was as well!

Prick them out into a little pot each when they are big enough but they can't be planted out in the garden until after the last frost. So I hope you have somewhere to keep them all  :)

Ahhhh yes will check my seed packet, the picture was a little colourful mix so that could be it, they are potted on, hehe and no I dont have lots of space.  I have them in a greenhouse in my sitting room with my tomato plants, lavender, bell peppers and sown too early pumkins that I cannot bear to part with, just as well I have a laid back OH
